Nothing like snow, rain, hail, and fierce winds to test our camper. The camper is surviving well but Tom and I are missing camping in the Africa sunshine. The Nissan looks great with its new ARB bumper and winch. Still waiting for lights that we ordered. We had an ARB bumper on our Land Cruiser and we were very satisfied with it. We will be reviewing using a winch for vehicle recovery. We understand how important it is to use equipment safely and the importance of reviewing our techiques

Finding an camper manufacturer willing to build to our specification was difficult, most will supply off the shelf only and were not willing to accommodate our request. But after 16 months on the road we knew there were some essential features that needed to be incorporated into our design. We needed storage space and we needed access to the living space without the pop up tent raised. Most campers do not have sufficient storage space for extended travel, most travellers do not intend to be away for longer than a year. Most travellers travel where they can purchase supplies and are not off the beaten track for weeks and months at time. Even we think we are crazy at times but love the nomad life of being off the beaten track.
We visit the village of Togoville where Voodooism is still practised.
